The Alibi Collectief, constructed by Pat Van Hemelrijck in 1991 is a multidisciplinary theatre company consisted of artistic soul mates. Theatre in the broadest sense of the word. Visual theatre, a medley of modern narrative arts, play for love. A noble ambition to popular and intelligent drama. The Alibi Collectief is touring home and abroad with their performances and installations, and also disposes of a workplace that contains a small theatre at the northern district of Brussels, named “FLAVORIA”. This is where the productions are made and first shown to organisers and a limited audience.

Sjoemelage is THE new party concept of the Alibi Collectief. A pleasant streettheatre festival with lots of crazy animations, spectacles, brass bands… and unexpected visual joy. Supported by the only truly free radio: Radio NRV, olé!
For the première of this festival (Akenkaai 9 june 2007) you are too late, but no worries; Sjoemelage is a travelling party concept, existing of own shows as well as guest productions. The compilation of the festival is variable and open for discussion.

The premiere of ®echafaudages took place at Flavoria on 9 March.
Reactions to the performances were enthusiastic, and it will go on tour as from September 2007.
